Process of Invisalign

Consultation: Your Invisalign® journey at Mālama Dental begins with a comprehensive consultation. We’ll assess your oral health, discuss your smile goals, and determine if Invisalign® is the right option for you.

Digital Impressions: Using advanced digital scanning technology, we create a precise 3D image of your teeth — no messy traditional molds needed. This digital model helps us design your personalized Invisalign® treatment plan.

Treatment Plan Design: With your digital impressions, we create a step-by-step treatment plan outlining how your teeth will gradually move into place. You’ll also get a preview of your expected results. Most Invisalign® treatment plans take about six months to a year and a half, depending on your needs.

Custom Aligners: A series of custom-made, clear plastic aligners are created to fit your teeth precisely. Each aligner is typically worn for about two weeks before moving to the next set, gradually shifting your teeth into their ideal positions.

Next Steps

Wearing the Aligners: You’ll need to wear your Invisalign® aligners for at least 22 hours a day, removing them only to eat, drink, and brush or floss.

Regular Check-ups: You’ll visit Mālama Dental every five to six weeks to monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.

Completion: Once you finish your series of aligners, your teeth should be in their final, beautifully aligned positions. We’ll evaluate your results and may recommend retainers or other measures to maintain your new smile long-term.
